Meet Leia!

3 year old Leia is finally ready for a home! This sweet girl was rescued from a hoarding situation and has taken a little longer than her friends to be ready for adoption due to a skin condition. After months of care, her skin and fur look better than ever! Although she hasn’t had issues for a long while now, the skin concern may flare up in the future.

Leia has a calm and nurturing nature. She adores puppies and even became a loving mum figure to the younger “music pups” at the shelter. She’s equally happy living as an only dog or sharing her home with canine companions. If living alone, she would love to have dog friends on her walks!

This gentle 16kg girl is used to free-roaming, so a secure garden is a must for her. She hasn’t been lead-tested yet, but with her friendly and trusting nature, she has so much potential to learn. Leia loves people – she happily let our volunteers pet and pick her up during their visit in May, and she especially enjoys spending time with the men at the shelter.
