Meet Elvis!

Elvis is an energetic and excitable 10-month-old male dog currently seeking an experienced, forever family to guide him through his teenage phase. This handsome lad is full of potential and love, but he needs firm, consistent owners who can teach him manners and channel his enthusiasm. He is currently in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Elvis is playful, likes his toys, and has developed a strong connection with his current female owner, while growing to trust his male owner and their grandparents. He is generally very happy and excitable with women , though he will jump up at them out of sheer enthusiasm. He can be nervous towards men initially , but he forms bonds once he gets to know them.

Due to his excitement, he may jump up and bark. He is mostly toilet trained and good in the car. He enjoys his walks and is generally good on the lead, although he can pull and prefers to be double-clipped. Because of his energy levels, we recommend a home without young children, and feel he would do well with a neutered male or spayed female dog in the home that he can learn from. He has not been tested with cats.

Elvis is waiting for an experienced family who understands young, teenage dogs and is committed to training and eventual neutering, which is expected to resolve much of his adolescent behaviour.
