Milo: 2 years, medium
Meet Milo – A Sensitive, Playful Companion Ready for His Forever Home
Milo is a bright, affectionate, and fun-loving 2-year-old male (approx. 20kg). This handsome boy is full of life, joy, and personality, but just a few weeks ago, he was spooked by fireworks, which has caused him some toileting issues linked to stress. His current family feel they are unable to work through this situation with him, so he’s now looking for a new home where he can receive the patient, consistent support he needs to regain confidence. Milo is a sweet, loving soul who simply needs understanding and a calm, supportive environment to thrive.
Milo gets along brilliantly with other dogs and enjoys playful interactions. He’s confident and social with dogs of all sizes, often seeking them out for a good run and play. He could happily live with another friendly, well-matched dog or be content as the only dog in the home with plenty of human company.
Milo has previously lived with cats and even ignored kittens brought into the house. However, he may still try to chase cats outdoors, so he would do best in a home with no cats or with a dog-savvy cat who can confidently set boundaries.
Milo is wonderful with children – gentle, loving, and playful. He’s lived with kids and had plenty of young visitors, always patient and kind with them.
While Milo is generally very friendly, he can be timid and nervous around men, especially on first meeting. He may bark, shake, or even have accidents if frightened. However, with calm reassurance and time to build trust, he relaxes and shows his affectionate, cuddly side. He bonds especially well with women, so a female adopter or female-led home would help him feel secure and confident.
Milo’s toileting accidents began after the recent firework incident, which caused him a great deal of stress. He may have accidents—especially when he feels anxious or startled—but with patience, understanding, and a calm routine, he can settle and feel safe again.
On walks, Milo is fantastic. He walks beautifully on a lead or harness and enjoys his daily outings. He’s sociable with other dogs, doesn’t pull, and loves a good run on a long line. If startled by loud noises, he may try to hurry back home, so gentle reassurance and a secure harness are essential.
Milo can be left for short periods (2–3 hours) and settles after some initial whining, but he’s happiest when he has company. He adores people and loves to be close to those he trusts. Once he bonds with you, he’ll shower you with affection, loyalty, and love.
This cheerful, sensitive, and affectionate boy deserves a home where he’ll be loved, supported, and cherished — fireworks and all. Could you be the one Milo’s been waiting for?
