Please meet Merlin!

Merlin is another one of the dogs from our most recent kill shelter rescue mission. He has been through so much already, being “rescued” from a hoarding situation just to be dumped into the kill shelter to die. Now he is actually safe for the first time in his life, and ready for a family!

Weighing around 15kg, he is not expected to grow any more! He is still a young dog, only estimated to be 1 year old. Understandably, Merlin can be a little protective over his food. He has likely had to push his way in to survive for the last year. Because of this, he is likely to need feeding separate from the resident dog at least to start with! He gets on much better with females, so would do best living with no male dogs

Merlin can be understandably a little nervous at first as he’s still unsure if he can trust humans. He does quickly warm up, and shows his loving personality. Enjoying both attention and playing, he will soon be your new best friend, he just needs someone who will let that happen at his pace! Merlin has only ever lived with a huge amount of dogs, and so does favour canine company over human currently. He would love a confident dog in his new home to share his new adventure with!
