Please meet Lumina!

6 year old Lumina is looking to start her life again in the UK, after spending years at various shelters in Romania. She was rescued from a “shelter” where most of the dogs were dead and neglected. Shortly after that she gave birth, and lost half of her puppies.

Having been with Alina for a few months now, Lumina is like a different dog! She has really come into herself and is blossoming as a dog. This 16kg girl would love to be the only pet in the home, as although she is good with other dogs, we think she would prefer the sole attention from her humans. Lumina would definitely enjoy social walks with other dogs once she has built her confidence up!

She can be quite shy to start with, which is no surprise given her past, so she needs an understanding home who will give her the space and time she needs. Lumina is gentle with children, but can find things overwhelming, so we would consider teenagers in her new home but not younger. Although she has been on a lead before and will walk on it, she will need some support and guidance to grow in confidence. Lumina would love a garden, as a dog who has never lived inside and roams the shelter, we think she would struggle without an outdoor space to access
