Can you help us find Bentley his forever home?

Bentley found himself with his foster family back in the summer due to becoming anxious within his previous home after arriving in the UK in March. Bentley has worked hard with his foster and although training is to be continued, Bentley is now looking for an understanding forever home.

Currently located within Manchester, Bentley can travel to his new home however it would be preferred he is homed locally due to his anxieties in which will require any potential adopter to meet him several times before his trust is gained.

Bentley is now 1 year old, around 20kg and full of fluff!

He has found it hard adapting to the home environment and does react in a nervous and anxious manner resulting in negative and boisterous behaviour. His new owners would be willing to continue the work his foster family have started and follow the guidance of the rescue.

Although Bentley is happy to live on his own, he can also be homed with either a calm female dog or a calm neutered male dog. An adult only home is a must for Bentley as he can show guarding behaviour towards those he trusts, his energy levels could also be overwhelming to some children.

As a young adult, boundaries have been set, however these would need to be re-established within his new environment. He is clean within the home and knows basic commands. Bentley will respond to positive training whilst outside on his walks, however he currently wears a muzzle as he can become vocal so a confident owner is needed to ensure Bentleys confidence is maintained as he learns to relax.

Bentley is playful and loves his teddy and rope ball! He could play chase for hours in the garden, wearing off any excess energy before cuddling up on the sofa to watch T.V. His favourite past time is being tickled and he is known to be a bit of an attention seeker!

Typically, he can’t say no to treats and loves a game of hide and seek! There’s no spot left unturned when he’s sniffing for his treats in the lounge with his foster mum. Outside, however, Bentley is not overly wowed by food, so will need more engaging games to gain his attention. He’s been described as intelligent, obedient and loving so anything is possible when it comes to training and bonding with him.

Please contact us if you think you can offer Bentley his forever home.
