🎉🌟 Time for another heartwarming Sunday Success Story! Meet Bijou, a beautiful senior lady with a truly inspiring journey. 🐾
Bijou's story began when a local Romanian lady rescued her from the streets, where she was found covered in ticks, with terrible skin and completely untrained. Unfortunately, this lady had too many dogs to give Bijou the special care she needed. So, we set out to find her the perfect forever home in the UK.
Despite being overlooked because of her age (then around 7-8 years old), Bijou’s luck changed when we thought we’d found her the perfect home in the UK. Sadly, that initial home did not work out, so poor Bijou was again looking for urgent foster care within two weeks of being in the country.
That’s when Chloe and Jai stepped in to give her a chance. Having previously being turned down by other rescue organisations due to them living in a flat, OUR recognised that the couple could still provide Bijou with the space and exercise she needed, so the lucky little lady moved across the country to stay with them.
Within a very short space of time, they fell in love and joined our ‘failed foster’ club, when Chloe and Jai decided that they couldn’t let her go. And wow, what a fantastic decision it was! Bijou is now living her best life in the perfect retirement home with her loving forever family. In the past three years, they’ve nursed her through health challenges and shower her with endless love. ❤️

“Bijou has made a massive difference to our lives and we couldn’t imagine life without her. When we first adopted her, she was shy and a bit reserved but we could tell she was incredibly sweet natured. It didn’t take her long to settle into our family. Now, she is such a confident little dog who loves being the centre of attention and is so incredibly happy. Despite being a senior dog, she has lots of energy, loves her walks, and doesn’t let her age stop her from running around and having fun! We are forever grateful for OUR for allowing her to come into our lives. She is our whole world.”
