Please meet Minnie!

Minnie, affectionately known as Minnie Moo, is sadly not settling in her foster home so it’s time for her to look for a new place. She craves a home that can give her lots of love and attention! She is currently based in Portsmouth but can travel to the right placement.

At 6 months old, she is a large puppy currently weighing around 21kg and estimated to be around 35kg fully grown. So despite her size, she will still display typical puppy behaviours, including chewing and nipping. Adopters need to feel confident managing a large puppy, particularly during the challenge of adolescence! Minnie is a lovely girl when she gets to know you, who despite her size, still thinks she is a lap dog! She is a really clever girl who loves to learn, and is very gentle when taking treats!

She is currently struggling when being left alone and can be destructive during periods of alone time. She would really benefit from an owner who works from home as she settles and is mostly happy to keep to herself as long as she knows someone is home with her! Minnie is struggling with anxiety in her current placement, so has not attempted many walks. When she has, she has been really scared so this will need very slow introductions towards once she is settled. She does love time in the garden, and will do almost all of her toileting outside apart from the odd accident.

Minnie will need to be spayed when she is old enough, although this is normally later for larger breeds.
