Meet Albut!

When Albut was first found, it was the depths of winter. He was trying to shelter under a tree, desperately seeking protection from the heavy snowfall, he was very weak and had horrible wounds from a life on a chain. Almost a year on, Albut has blossomed into a wonderful companion and is now ready to find his forever home.

Albut is around 3½ years old and weighs 17kg — the perfect size for adventures and cuddles alike. He can be a little shy at first, but once he learns to trust you, his true personality shines through. He’s a curious, nosey boy who loves to be part of whatever’s going on around him. You’ll often find him quietly watching the world, taking everything in with those soulful eyes.

He’s good on the lead, though this comes from a life on a chain, so he’s used to the feel of a tether. Albut would love an active home with a garden, where he can stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy life at his own pace. He’d prefer to be the only dog, as he can get a little jealous when it comes to sharing affection. He also can’t live with cats or children, but he’ll form a deep and loyal bond with the right adult-only family.

He’d like access to most of the home, as he finds being confined to a single space, like a pen, quite upsetting and will cry when separated. What he really wants is to be close to his people — part of the family, not tucked away.

Albut has been through so much, yet he remains gentle, curious, and hopeful. He’s ready now for someone to show him what love truly means — a home where he’ll never be cold, lonely, or chained again.
