Please meet Sakari!

Could you be the one to give Sakari the fresh start she has been waiting for?

Sakari has now been in our care since May 2024, after being rescued from a kill shelter. After all this time, she is still patiently waiting for someone to choose her. She is now 3 years old, weighs around 15kg, and is the perfect small-to-medium size.

Sakari is an incredibly friendly girl who absolutely adores people. Whenever our volunteers visit the shelter, she is one of the first to come over, desperate for fuss, affection and attention. She has so much love to give and thrives on human company.

She is a fun, bouncy girl who would love an active family to share adventures with. Whether it’s exploring new places, playing in the garden or simply being involved in family life, Sakari is always ready for the next exciting moment.

Because of her enthusiastic nature, we think Sakari would be best suited to a home with teenagers as she may be a little too bouncy for younger children.

Like many of our Romanian rescue dogs, Sakari will need some guidance with lead walking and basic training, but she is a clever young dog who is eager to learn with kindness, patience and positive reinforcement.

After spending so long waiting, Sakari deserves to know what it feels like to have a family of her own. Could you be the one to show her that life is about more than shelter kennels?
