Please meet Bella!

Bella is a beautiful 3-year-old spayed female, weighing around 23kg, with long legs and a gentle, soulful nature. She has a calm presence and a sweetness that quietly emerges once she feels safe.

Bella’s story is heartbreaking. In March 2022, she was dumped in a box outside the shelter gates along with her sisters when they were still tiny puppies. Since that day, the shelter has been the only life she has ever known. While other dogs have found their way home (including her sister Ursa), Bella has stayed behind, waiting patiently for someone to finally choose her.

She currently lives outside, free with the other dogs, and has never experienced life in a home. Because of this, Bella will need basic training and time to adapt to living in a house with a garden. That said, she listens well to the shelter owners and shows a willingness to learn, making her a lovely candidate for someone prepared to guide her gently through this big transition.

Bella is friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. She could happily live with an other dogs or be the only dog in the home. She hasn’t been tested with cats. As she can be jumpy and energetic, she would be best suited to a home with older children.

A home with a secure garden would be ideal, giving Bella the chance to explore, relax, and finally feel safe in her own space. This will also allow her to get used to a lead at her own pace as she currently doesn’t like wearing one.

Although she can be shy at first and finds vet visits stressful, Bella blossoms with kindness and reassurance. She has spent her whole life waiting behind shelter gates - waiting to know what it feels like to belong. After more than three years of waiting, she truly deserves the chance to finally go home.
