Meet Snowy! 🐶
Snowy is a beautiful 5-year-old girl who has been in the UK since 2021 and is currently based in the Kent area. She is now searching for a calm home where she can truly settle and feel safe.
Snowy lives with an 18-month-old child, and her family describe her as “amazing” with their young one. She is calm, gentle, and will mostly ignore small children, making her well suited to a quiet family environment where children are respectful and supervision is in place.
She also lives with another dog and enjoys the company of other dogs, though she is not particularly playful. Snowy could happily live with another calm dog or be the only dog in the home. What matters most to her is having her people around her. She forms strong bonds and struggles with being left alone. Her separation anxiety can lead to excessive barking, especially if her routine changes or she is left unexpectedly. Because of this, Snowy would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time and where her days are predictable and calm.
Snowy can be nervous around visitors. She is not aggressive, but her anxiety can show through barking, sometimes continuing until the visitor leaves. An ideal home for Snowy would have minimal visitors and owners who understand nervous dogs and are happy to manage introductions slowly, or limit visitors altogether.
On walks, Snowy is good on the lead and generally enjoys being out and about, although she can feel nervous around larger, very vocal dogs. She weighs around 8kg, making her a lovely size for the cuddles that she adores!
Snowy does not enjoy baths and may snap during them, so patient, gentle handling and positive training will be needed to help her feel more comfortable with grooming over time.
