Meet Lizzie!

Lovely Lizzie is one of the siblings from our Christmas Dinner Pups! She didn’t arrive at the shelter with her brothers and sisters because, at the time, she was struggling with lameness and needed some extra care. Thankfully, with veterinary treatment and a good dose of calcium, her crooked legs have straightened beautifully — and now she is a year and a half old,

she’s fit, healthy, and ready to find her forever family!

At around 33kg, Lizzie is a strong girl with a heart just as big. She absolutely adores people and is always one of the first to greet you at the shelter gate, her tail wagging in pure excitement. She can be a little nippy for attention — not out of malice, just enthusiasm — so she’ll need gentle guidance and clear boundaries as she continues to learn her manners. Deep down, she’s really just a big, playful puppy who loves affection and fun.

Lizzie is good on the lead and would love an active home where she can enjoy regular walks, playtime, and plenty of mental stimulation. She’s great with other dogs and would be happiest living with another playful companion who can match her energy and love of fun.

She could live with older children who are confident around large, excitable dogs, and she previously lived with cats while recovering from her leg issues, so with the right introductions, that could be possible again.

Lizzie would thrive in a home where people are around most of the time, as she loves company and being part of the action. She’s affectionate, loyal, and full of life — the perfect mix of sweetness and silliness.
