Gruia is a 5-year-old neutered male, weighing around 30kg, with a big, expressive personality and a huge love for people. He is active, strong, and full of life, greeting everyone he meets with enthusiasm and warmth. He will often greet you by jumping up for a cuddle!

Before he reached safety, Gruia spent part of his life as a chain dog. He braved every season - the heat, the cold, the rain - stuck at the end of a short chain with nowhere to go, nothing to explore, and no affection or comfort. He had no choice, no freedom, and no one to love him. That Gruia is still so friendly and trusting after this is a testament to his incredible spirit.

Despite that heartbreaking past, Gruia is a joyful, people-oriented dog who craves companionship and interaction. He jumps up excitedly to say hello and thrives on attention and connection. He would love to live with another playful dog, as he enjoys having a companion to share his energy with. Cats haven’t been tested. Due to his size and enthusiasm, Gruia would be best suited to a home with older children.

Gruia is generally quiet and doesn’t bark much. He will need patient guidance with lead walking, as he hasn’t had much experience, but he is eager to learn. A home with a large, secure garden is essential, giving him the space and freedom he was once denied.

Gruia lost so much time standing at the end of a chain, waiting for a life that never came. Now he is ready to finally live - to run, to play, to be loved, and to belong. With the right home, Gruia will be a devoted, joyful companion who will never take freedom or kindness for granted.
