Beamer

We are heartbroken to share that beautiful Beamer passed away this evening, less than 24 hours after suddenly becoming unwell and losing the ability to stand last night. Blood tests showed serious liver issues, but despite starting treatment, his tiny body didn’t have the time it needed to respond.

He was born around 4 months ago, at the shelter to a mum who had only been safe from the kill shelter for a week, heavily pregnant but able to give birth safely. She lost one of his siblings shortly after birth, now his 3 remaining siblings will be grieving their play pal and brother.

At just 4 months old, Beamer was about to be assessed for adoption, in fact we even started the conversation with Alina last night - so close to finding a family and a home to call his own. Instead, we are left grieving a life that was only just beginning, and a little soul who deserved so much more time.
