Ivy & Thorne are on their way to the UK

Thank you so much to all of the generous people who donated towards Ivy and Thorne's happy bus fund.

Mum and son are now on their way to the UK and were collected from the wonderful Alina Condorachi earlier today. Hopefully, they'll settle well together in their new family, so that it turns into their forever home.

In November last year we started looking for a special home to take on these inseparable dogs, knowing it would break their hearts to be homed away from each other.

Saved from the kill shelter when her pups were only a few weeks old, Ivy is a proud and doting mum to son Thorne, who was the last remaining pup from the litter to find a home. Their Romanian foster said they spread joy amongst the pen in which they were staying, and ran towards her for a good fuss whenever she approached.

When a foster home was found in the UK, we started an urgent appeal to raise the funds required to make sure they could travel over. OUR supporters didn’t let us down, and with only 2 days to go before their transport left Romania, the funds were secured and Ivy and Thorne could start their new adventure together.
