National Microchipping Month

Although all our dogs are chipped prior to transport, we thought we would use this month to remind you of the importance of checking them!

Make sure your details are up to date! This means if the worst should happen, you will be contactable as quickly as possible, and be able to reunite. If your details are out of date the vet may be unable to contact you at all. All our dogs are registered via PetTrac so don’t forget to login and check your details! https://owners.pettrac.co.uk

Regular scans! These are usually done at vaccine booster appointments to make sure the chip is still there! This is because they can occasionally migrate around the body (we’ve seen it in dogs due to travel so it happens!)

The return rate of dogs to their families when lost is twice as high for dogs with microchips! As they are universal, they are the best form of permanent ID!

If you have a pet that isn’t microchipped, please consider getting it done, it could be the means to reunite you both.
