Spare us a tenner for Alina and Dexter
Are there 50 people who follow our page who would pledge a one-off donation of just £10 to help the superwoman Alina and new puppy Dexter, who we are taking care of until he is old enough to go to a specialist UK shelter/foster?
Dexter is a very special little chap who Alina rescued from the kill shelter just last week. He was full of infected wounds, starving and dirty; we suspect that he had been beaten on the streets or in a previous ‘home’. Once we’d got him to a place of safety, we quickly realised that Dexter had a bigger issue - he has no vision: blindness most likely caused by his previous trauma. So, he needs specialist help and a safe, enclosed space to get the socialisation he needs in these vital first few months.
To do this, we need a large pen where he can explore safely and get to know a few specially-chosen new doggy ‘friends’. A place where he can’t harm himself and learn some early toileting skills (so that he isn’t stomping poop around Alina’s kitchen ). A 6m pen would be around £500 and we need help to get it for him (and for future pups to keep them quarantined and safe from parvo).
