Sunday Success - Hallie
Today, we're sharing a heartwarming story of a dog named Hallie, who was once known as Suka. When she first arrived at her forever home with Liv and Lisha a few months ago, she struggled to find her place alongside their resident dog, Cora. The household felt a lot of pressure, and the initial decision was made to surrender Suka back to us so we could find a more suitable home for her.
But something wonderful happened during that time. Without the pressure of immediate integration, Hallie started to relax and settle in. The family took a step back and let her find her own pace, and slowly but surely, she began to form a bond with Cora. The two are now the best of friends, and Hallie is a cherished, full-fledged member of the family.
This is what Hallie’s adopters had to say about adopting her:
“Getting Hallie has been easily the best decision we’ve ever made. From us anxiously awaiting her arrival on that bus - she fits right into our little family. My wife’s her favourite human, I don’t get a look in when she’s home.
Her and Cora are the absolute best of friends, and Hallie has settled in incredibly. She is the craziest, cheekiest, cuddliest, sweetest girl in the world. She stomps her feet and howls when she wants attention. She loves walkies, playing in water and taking every single toy we own outside to bury in holes.”
Hallie's journey is a beautiful reminder of the importance of patience and slow introductions when welcoming a new rescue into your home. It highlights the need to give a dog enough time and space to acclimate without pressure. We're so grateful to Liv and Lisha for giving Hallie the time she needed to blossom. She is a true testament to the fact that with a little patience, a house can truly become a home.
