Spotlight Dogs: Cookie’s Story
Hi everyone, my names Cookie and I’m looking for a new family. Where I live right now in Billericay, Essex is quite stressful for me and my current family say that I need a quieter home to help me settle a bit.
Apparently I have a heart of gold and I keep getting told how beautiful I am and what a good girl I am but because of the busy household it’s making me a little noisy and I can’t quite relax enough to enjoy life.
I first arrived in Essex a couple of years ago, I came from a different country you see where I had siblings but I braved it enough to go alone and now I’m 2.5 years old. I have learnt a few things since being such a scared pup, things like going into the garden to toilet. Apparently my humans don’t appreciate having to clean up inside and they made such a fuss when I had an accident outside that now I do it all the time because I love the praise I get!
I’ve also taught my humans how to go for a walk. I do find it a little scary still especially at night time but each day is different and I’m trying my hardest to go on adventures. When we get back, the humans are tired so I comfort them by giving them lots of cuddles. I’ve noticed humans like cuddles so maybe I could find a loving family who will be content with having some days staying at home and snuggle rather than exploring the world.
I like children but older children are my favourite as they understand how to be quiet a little more so maybe I will find a home with teenagers as I seem to remember they like cuddles too!
One day soon I’m sure I will find a new family…what’s the saying? Good things come to those who wait? I have been waiting for a while and no one has asked about me yet but soon I’m sure someone will see me and want a new friend.
