Meet our Valentine Pups

This Valentine's Day, love wasn't just in the air – it was saving lives in Romania! On the celebrated day itself, we received a desperate call about nine puppies in the horrific Roman kill shelter. Facing the imminent threat of euthanasia and the ever-present danger of parvo virus, we knew immediate action was crucial. Every day spent in the shelter was a gamble with their young lives.

Thankfully, our incredible foster in Buzau, Romania, answered our plea. Having just finished building new pens, she had the perfect space – a large pen filled with fresh straw – ready and waiting. She swiftly arranged for vaccinations and worming treatments and generously offered to take the puppies the very next day!

We launched an urgent appeal on Facebook, seeking sponsors to help cover the costs of food and care until these adorable pups are old enough to find their forever homes. Our amazing supporters, as always, stepped up in a big way! We secured full sponsorships for six puppies and half a sponsorship for another, along with generous one-off donations that significantly helped with transport and vaccinations.

After a nearly three-hour journey, the nine little bundles of joy arrived safely at their foster home. We discovered we had five gorgeous girls and four handsome boys! These precious pups are truly amazing, and we can't wait to fully assess them and begin the process of finding them loving homes in the UK. Thanks to the quick action of our foster, the generosity of our supporters, and the power of love, these nine puppies have a second chance at a happy life.
