Sunday Success: Luca’s Story

Meet Luca (formerly Kaka), a Romanian rescue dog whose story is one of second chances and unbreakable bonds.

Luca was saved during a rescue mission from a kill shelter, thanks to the kindness and generosity of Jason Summerfield, who sponsored his journey to safety. After a false start in his first home, Luca made his way to Scotland, where fate had something special in store for him.

Jimmy, Luca’s new forever dad, had just lost his beloved dog and was feeling the void in his life. The two found each other at the perfect time, and it’s safe to say they’ve rescued each other in more ways than one. Now, they’re the best of mates, sharing adventures, cuddles, and a bond that’s truly heartwarming.

“Luca arrived in Aberdeen at 3am on 12th November, 2021. My last dog passed away a month before and I needed a new buddy. The process was simple with OUR Dog Foundation and I can honestly say he is the best dog in the world.  He can even tell the time… or at least he knows when it's playtime, dinner time or walk time 🤣

Luca gives so much love to me. I don't know where I'd be without this wee boy. ❤️”
