Meet Summer!
Summer is a beautiful 5-month-old pup, currently around 17 kg and expected to be about 30 kg fully grown. She came to the shelter in the height of summer with her sister, Solstice, after being driven in the boot of a car in 40-degree heat. Alina and Iuli couldn’t turn their backs on the pair — and we’re so glad they didn’t, because this gentle girl truly deserves her happy ending.
Summer is a sweet, gentle soul who gets on wonderfully with other dogs. She can often be found snuggled up with a canine friend, and when she’s awake, she loves to play and run around. For that reason, she’d be happiest in a home with another playful dog — one who can be her playmate and nap buddy.
She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but given her young age, she could learn to live with them. Summer could also share her home with calm, respectful children who understand typical puppy behaviours.
She is not a big barker and would love a secure garden where she can indulge in her favourite pastime — sunbathing!
